....  there was TENUTA FOGGIALI, and thank God there still is !!!!!!

Our family estate is set on 20 ha of olive plantations at an altitude of 150mt above sea level in the heart of Puglia.

It was acquired at the end of the 19th century by our grandfather Vincenzo Rosati with 1000 monumental olive trees of the ogliarola variety.

The manor house, where different family generations have been born and raised, dates back to 1880.

When his son Mimì Rosati took over the estate he committed himself to increase the capacity through the plantation of additional 2000 trees of selected quality of coratina, cima di melfi, frantoio, leccino and pecholine varieties. He implemented a number of improvements to the production which is now solely based on criteria of highest quality and preservation of nature and its products.

He cultivated the estate with great passion and diligence, building an extensive water supply system, executing the regular lopping work and refusing the use of any chemical substances and not the least using nets extensively for the harvest. As result of this labour intensive process we children have inherited a philosophy of life.

Now that we take care of the estate we diligently continue in our father's footsteps and follow his high standards and principles and converted the plantation to organic agriculture in accordance to his biodynamic approach.
